Welcome to IVV

In an average year over one million human lives are lost on roads around the world. Since 1957 it has been the aim of the IVV to find and implement solutions to this terrible loss of life by improving the training and education of drivers and other road users.

The IVV was created to:

• increase awareness of road safety through driver training and education;
• raise the standard of driving instruction and the teaching of driving; and to
• encourage and promote the interest and welfare of those involved in professional driver training.
